Farm Mission Statement:

Tryphon Farm Alpacas

At Tryphon Farm Alpacas we aim to breed stellar huacaya alpacas; to craft consistent herd characteristics; to document and disclose honestly all information on the health and quality of our alpacas; to educate ourselves and others for continuing excellence in all phases of the industry;  to find fun, friendship and financial rewards in our enterprise;  and to go the extra mile to serve our customers, colleagues and contacts.

Farm Description:

Situated on 10.6 acres in southwestern Ohio, between Dayton and Cincinnati, we are home to about 30 huacaya alpacas.

We emphasize nutrition as a cornerstone of a good breeding program. We are distributors for Dynamite Products.  Dynamite is a family company in Idaho with an established reputation for excellence in assisting people and their animals to build health through better nutrition.  We have been pleased with the positive health and fiber qualities we have seen in our herd using Dynamite Alpaca Feed, Minerals and DynaPro probiotics.

Several family members have participated in Camelidynamics workshops with Marty McGee Bennett and Dorothy Hunt.  We are also fortunate to have nearby an apprentice in Marty's training program, Cheryl Ross.  Cheryl consults and assists us regularly as we strive to develop handling skills that will promote calm in our barns and pastures.

To guard the health of our animals and our little corner of the earth, we use   nature friendly, hard working and effective cleaning products in our barns and trailer.   Produced by a proven company that is surely the forerunner of the green movement, distributing products that support health and nature for over 50 years, we are proud to distribute these products as well.  Check tryalpacas.com for more information.

Farm Directions:

Our farm is close to interstates 71, 75, and 675.  We are not far from Route 48, and 73 as well.  Check mapquest for complete directions.
