Farm Mission Statement:

Sunkissed Alpaca Ranch

We are committted to making each generation of alpacas we raise superior to the preceding one. Breeding for genetic excellence scientifically will enable superior, abundant fleece, outstanding confirmation, and a healthy, better generation. These, with an efficiently managed herd, will produce the goal of business profit.

Farm Description:

You will find the SunKissed Alpaca Ranch in the panhandle of Florida. We are about 45 minutes from the Emerald Coast Beaches at Destin and Panama City Beach.

This Florida panhandle where we are located is rural and vastly different from the beach and tourist attractions as this is horse, cattle and cotton country. Our Glendale neighbors are thoughtful, caring and friendly. They seem appreciate that we are unique as the only alpaca ranch

Birthing a ranch with alpacas is a life-style change for us and we are thriving on the planning, the work, and the daily relationships with our girls and boys.
Our land was out of use for about 50 years and we are thrilled to plant fruit trees and develop facilities for our animals here.

Raising alpacas in the NW Florida climate brings challenges due to the heat and humidity conditions that can be tolerated by these unique animals. We can see temps near 90 degrees even in March, so we have planned our barn and shelter facilities to serve as a refuge from those stressful conditions.

You can imagine after waiting for nearly a year for a cria that you  want that little one to be the best possible alpaca. Our philosophy of breeding is simple: Make each generation better than the one before it, breed for good health, improved fiber characteristics, and make the choices for matching females and males a scientific genetic decision.
