Farm Mission Statement:

My Sweet Alpaca

Here at "My Sweet Alpaca", we strive to improve our fleece quality by focusing on fineness and density through careful breeding; freshly made alpaca feed (no chemicals, fillers, or animal bi-products and with only natural grain products); and mineral supplements.  We will continue to learn as much as we can about the alpaca business and open our hearts and minds to others interested in these fantastic animals.

Farm Description:

"My Sweet Alpaca" is a 55 acre rolling hills farm with a quaint 100 year old home and a 50 year old barn in Langston, Alabama.  We are in a cove, surrounded by mountains and water, Lake Guntersville.

Our goal is to breed our 'Hemingway's Ernesto' female crias with our half Accoyo Dracula son, 'Go Boy'.  Our hope is that we will have superior animals that combine the ultra fine fleece gene of Hemingway with the ultra dense fleece gene of Dracula.

Farm Directions:

"My Sweet Alpaca" is located in the North Eastern corner of Alabama, between Guntersville and Scottsboro, about 30 miles from the Georgia and Tennessee borders.  Huntsville is about 30 miles away with Atlanta about 100 miles and Chattanooga about 60 miles away. Birmingham is about 80 miles away.

From the North, coming thru Scottsboro, take US-279 to AL-35 (Veterans Dr.), turn left. Go over long bridge and make and immediate right on to CR-67.  Continue on CR-67 for about 8.5 miles. The ranch is on your right.

From the South, coming from Guntersville, take AL-79 on to AL-227.  Stay on AL-227 for 12 miles and when it turns right YOU GO STRAIGHT on to CR-67 (South Sauty Rd.).  Continue for about another 10 miles.  The ranch is on your left, just past the post office.
