Farm Mission Statement:

Alpacas of El Dorado

Fine alpacas of the Sierra Foothills. Dedicated to continual improvement in quality in both suris and huacayas by breeding only to the finest herdsires. Come visit us, be our guests and experience the peaceful lifestyle and outstanding wines in the spectacular Sierra Foothills of El Dorado County.

Farm Description:

For huacaya breeders we offer MFI Peruvian Providence, whose sire is Accoyo Titan - sire of multiple show winners and a direct Accoyo import. Providence's dam is Primadona who is the daughter of Ppperuvian Mr. President who sold for $155,000 in 2002 at 11 years of age. This was before the recent surge of high prices for well known herdsires. In other words Providence has pedigree to burn. Providence's fleece is the extremely bundled, high frequency style that we like.

The potential is in the pedigree but the proof is in the progeny. We have seen, examined and taken pictures of five of Providence's first cria and they are spectacular. We can't wait to see them in the show circuit when they are of age. You can look far and wide but a herdsire with either Accoyo Titan or Mr. President genes, let alone both, will be nearly impossible to find on the West Coast.

For suri breeders we offer AIA Accoyo Sir Baronoff whose sire is Accoyo Baron and whose dam is 4Peruvian Rubia - both direct Accoyo imports. Sir Baronoff is big boned, shows the distinctive suri head is extremely lustrous and shows a good disposition. His first cria are on the ground for us, both females, both suris showing good full coverage, independent locks and bright luster. Rare genetics.

For colored suris we offer Prince Caspian The Tenth. This golden color, medium fawn male is a son of the famous DDF Peruvian Macgyver and to add to his color background his dam is from Meteor who is also the sire of Cantano of Peru. Prince Caspian shines with golden luster and practically glows in the dark. He is a very large male who will add size and color to the dam's cria. We are eagerly awaiting the birth of his first crop of crias.
