Farm Mission Statement:
As members of the Ideal Alpaca Community, North East Alpacas is dedicated to the tools, techniques and practice of bettering the breed of alpacas. It is our goal to raise genetically superior alpacas that produce high volumes of fleece and to produce excellence in its progeny.
Farm Description:
North East Alpacas is a full time, family run business nestled in the rural farming community of Whately, Massachusetts. Since the purchase of our first alpacas in 2001, our 20 acre farm has become a home to two dogs, a certified organic vegetable farm, abundant wildlife and of course, our herd of exceptional Peruvian alpacas. We are dedicated to a breeding program based on superior genetics and our herd consists of nationally registered, full Peruvian Huacayas with strong Accoyo bloodlines. Our breeding objectives, which include fineness, crimp formation, staple length, density, fleece weight and conformation are evident in our exceptional animals. Through selective breeding and careful attention to the healthcare and nutritional needs of our alpacas, we have truly elevated their physical attributes. Come see for yourself! North East Alpacas welcomes visitors to the farm or on the web.
We are a full service farm offering sales, boarding, stud services, farm planning, customer education, local transportation, financing and alpaca products.
