Farm Mission Statement:

Northwest Alpacas

Northwest Alpacas was founded in 1984. We are dedicated to improving the alpaca breed. Education has always been a mainstay of our relationship with the alpaca community and we present seminars to breeders of all levels of experience. Our breeding stock is known across the United States for excellence in type and fiber.

Farm Description:

Northwest Alpacas Ranch has been breeding elite alpacas for more than fifteen years. Our farm is home to more than three hundred suri and huacaya alpacas.

Alpaca breeding is both an art and a science and the team at Northwest Alpacas is dedicated to raising alpacas based on sound genetic selection principals.

Farm Directions:

From the Portland Airport, take I-205 south to I-84 west into downtown Portland. Take 1-5 south from downtown (I-84 merges with I-5) to Hwy. 217 (Lake Oswego exit). Turn right onto 217 and continue to Scholls Ferry exit. Continue west on Scholls Ferry to 11785 SW River Road. The total trip is approximately 24 miles.

Alpaca breeders from across the country share their secrets. Learn about training tips, marketing, fencing, showing and selling your alpacas. Better yet submit your own tips and tricks.
