Farm Mission Statement:

Sugarloaf Alpaca Co.

We are methodically creating the ideal farm environment including great attention to soil conditions, pasture grass mixes, fencing, waterers, sheds and barns.  Our commitment to alpacas and to the success for both ourselves and our clients is second only to the health and welfare of our animals.  Whether you are an experienced breeder or someone entirely new to alpacas we look forward to sharing the enjoyment alpacas are bringing us as-well-as the tribulations of being new breeders.

Farm Description:

Nestled in the midst of lush rolling pastures beneath Maryland’s Sugarloaf Mountain lays the foundation of the Sugarloaf Alpaca Company.  Founded in 2003 by Nancy and Kevin Brandt, Sugarloaf Alpaca Company is committed to breeding high quality huacaya and suri alpacas and to providing personalized customer service.  Beginning with a herd of 12 genetically superior and diversely colored animals we have chosen to focus on mahogany, black and grey animals.  We aspire to produce the highest quality colored fiber in conformationally correct alpacas and take great care in our breeding selections.
