Farm Mission Statement:
We are dedicated to breeding for quality alpacas with excellent conformation
and fleece with increasingly high shear weights and lasting fineness with a
dense, uniform fleece across the entire animal through
the use of scientific testing and careful breeding selection. Our goal is to enhance the strong points of
each of our ‘girls’ and improve the areas where they are weak. Each cria is better than its mother.
This wonderful business allows us to have a calm, relaxing lifestyle (well…once
we’ve finished the barn and pastures J) and be involved in
the beginnings of a livestock industry with the potential for unlimited growth,
and the chance to interact with people from all walks of life.
We are dedicated to expanding our education to better serve our alpacas and
clients.
Honesty and integrity are paramount in our dealings with everyone. We will willingly share our knowledge and experiences,
esp. those that will help our clients avoid some of the mistakes we’ve made. We will provide support and friendship.
Clients who purchase our alpacas will also become eligible to become members
of the "Ideal Alpaca Community" and have access to the marketing
co-op provided by the Ideal Alpaca Community.
Farm Description:
Located in the heart of the Wiregrass area in the SE corner of Alabama,
we're 2 hours from Montgomery, AL, 2 hours from Tallahssee,
Florida, and 2 hours from Panama City Beach, Florida.
This is a small family run farm in the farming community of SE
Alabama. We interact daily
with our herd and know each individual’s nature and disposition, strengths and
weaknesses. We offer Hemingway genetics right
here in the SE.
Soon, we will have a store offering hand carved alpacas.
Farm Directions:
From Dothan, take U.S. 84 East approximately 6 miles. Turn left
on Fellows Rd. (which is the first road after you pass Efurd's Grocery
Store on the right). At the end of Fellows Rd., turn right on
Bluff Springs Rd. Cross a small bridge. We're the first
driveway on the right - back into the woods. Call before coming
to make sure we're home.
