Rose won the very first Spin Off class we ever entered.
After awarding her first place in her age/color group, the spinner at the 2005 Mid America Alpaca Show also awarded Rose the Spinner’s Choice prize. She also won 5th place in halter at the very competitive white yearling female division at the 2006 TxOLAN show. Her 2005 histogram numbers show what the judges felt:
AFD 19.1, SD 3.5, C of V 18.3%, >30 1% and mean curvature of 44%.
Great fleece complimented by a sweet disposition and a perfect bite back up her Hemingway and Felix genetics.
Her sire is one of Mike Safley’s favorite Hemingway sons and Studmaster Sire: MSA Hemingway’s Tequila.
Her dam brings Peruvian Felix and Chilean genetics to the mix.
The result is a dainty white ¾ Peruvian ¼ Chilean girl with a lot of presence and great fleece.
We will be breeding Rose in the fall of 06 to color champion Jennifer’s Zindel from Windrush Alpacas (a full Peruvian Dom Lucilio son).
