Farm Mission Statement:

North American Alpaca Co.

Our mision is to continue to improve the fleece quality and harvest weight through the EPD program.  With the wonderful selection of animals that have some of the finest genetics, we see it as a future reality working on it every day.

Seeing our progeny is proof of how this is working.

Farm Description:

North American Alpaca Company (Rain Creek Alpacas America) is a medium-sized farm.  Our herd is maintained at about 30 alpacas so we can be hands-on in keeping our alpacas friendly to folks who visit them and do the work ourselves of caring for them.

Alpacas have their own unique personalities.  It's fun to watch them look up at you when their names are individually called out, and only the one who's name has been called will look at you.  Whistling for dinner brings them "charging" toward the barn, as well as shaking the grain can.

The animals enjoy the interplay with humans and certain ones come running for a neck scratch or back rub.  This is part of the hands-on approach we are pleased with for our farm.

We are found near the top of a mountain outside of the town of Battle Ground, Washington.  The beautiful view is enhanced by the pastoral scene of our "packys" in the fields.

From West Portland or Vancouver, take I-5 Fwy North to the Battle Ground exit just beyond the Clark County Fairgrounds.  Continue on 219 Street (SR 502) until reaching Battle Ground.  When you see Fred Meyer and across the intersection is Safeway stay on Main Street (502 changes to Main Street.  There will be no need to turn anywhere until you travel to the East of Battle Ground to 182 Avenue and follow the direcitons above to our ranch.

We love 'em.  Maybe you will, too.

Come see us!

Farm Directions:

From Portland North on 205 Fwy across Columbia River to Battle Ground Exit. Continue on SR503 to 199 Street, Battle Ground, Turn Right or East.  Stay on 199 Street until it reaches 182 Avenue.  Go straight ahead to Risto Road. Take Risto Road to 227 Avenue. About one mile or so, turn Right on Osman Road and to the top stop sign.  Turn Right or East here on 229 Street. Only a short distance will be a sign indicating a "T" in the road.  Turn Left on Berry Road. Almost all the way to the top is Kaskillah Road.  Turn Right here and go to the end to our address and farm.  (Kaskillah has a curve in it, don't take the curve, stay straight on 264 Place or Kenasket).

From Battle Ground: Take Main Street East from town to 182 Avenue where you will turn Left.  Continue a few miles or so and turn Right on Allworth Road. There is a big red horse barn on the NorthEast corner.  Allworth changes to other numbers and curves, still stay on the road to a "T" sign right after a North/South stop sign at Osman Road.  Turn Left on Berry Road and follow directions above to our farm.

Look forward to seeing you.  Our Packys love visitors and so do we!
